1. If you can manage to get into rooms ending in 04 (the best) or 03, you have a direct view of Waikiki beach, and you avoid some really bad mechanical equipment noise from the roof of an adjacent building.

What we appreciated most were: the friendly and helpful staff, the clean rooms with daily maid service, free beach towels and access to a variety of beach chairs, lilos etc. We had booked an ocean view room but upgraded for an extra $15.00 a night to an ocean front room on the eighth floor and what an investment it proved to be.
