1. Everyone was super friendly, from waitstaff to the front desk, the guys working valet were incredibly friendly and helpful the night I had to myself and wanted to find something to do, the concierge was often busy, but if on the phone would make eye contact and smile to acknowledge guests, and everyone I saw and met from housekeeping was friendly and nice.

6. The only problems were the lanaii (there are no dividers, so it's exposed to all other lanais) and room service (we returned from a day of sightseeing to s dirty room, we called the housekeeping, and the supervisor promised to have it cleaned within 1/2 hour, but there was a long delay).

Pros: lovely decor in rooms, good 'Hilton' feel to the property, decent sized bathrooms, big flatscreen, gorgeous beds and bedlinen, abundant towels, good daily housekeeping, easy walk to the main drag in Kalakaua Ave, and to beach, Food Pantry supermarket, Longs Drugstore, restaurants etc etc,'pink trolley' to Ala Moana shopping centre is directly out the front of the hotel.
