Hotel is in a very nice/safe neighborhood with lots of interesting bldgs, also close to the metro but also close enought to walk to alot of the major attractions/museums etc.2 blocks north on 17th Street is a CVS and the next several blocks have alot of good restaurants/bars and gay bars etc. Walk a few blocks south and you can get the Circulator Bus.
