4. The rooms are small - the bathroom is tiny - but we've stayed in upscale hotels in Paris and London with less room.

7. The only downside (to be expected in a circa 1928 hotel is the small rooms, fair mount of noise and most bothersome is the water changing drastic temperatures when showering from others in the hotel flushings toilets etc..

9. My second and thankfully final night at the Hotel San Carlos, my neighbors were apparently roped in to getting an extremely drunk, loud woman back into her room, which was right across the hall from mine.
