1. We had a shared bathroom and I thought this would be an issue too initially - how wrong I was.

Cons: noisy, bad breakfast (no tables to sit at, poor quality coffee/food), 'standard' rooms have shared bathrooms (no sink in the bathroom -- you have to fumble with your room key and open your room door with dirty hands before you can wash them; shower water temperature fluctuates from freezing cold to scalding hot back to freezing cold each minute).
