1. If you like chain-hotel style rooms and super-attentive service, with lots of lobby staff to help with your bags, monogrammed slippers in the room, and AC, then this place probably isn't for you.

5. The room was located on the 2nd floor--very noisy, noisy, noisy---facing the street, listening to any and all conversations outside the hotel, as well as in the lobby.

7. The lobby is actually on the second floor, which requires one to take one of the oldest working elevators still in existence - the kind with the grating that you pull across, which can present a bit of a challenge with one's luggage.

8. Another thing is that the lobby is on the second floor and there is a rickety old elevator (pull the metal gate across type) or narrow, windy stairs to take.
