1. The room, while not recently updated, was still in very good condition, with a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer and a clean bathroom.

Only about $60/night more (total with taxes, parking, and amenity fee was $220/night), but everything was much better: the room (big kitchen, comfortable beds, rap-around sofa-bed, 2 TVs, big bathroom, quiet washer/'dryer), the lobby and stores, the several pools, hot tubs, and big lawn, pool bar/restaurant, free boogie boards, and right on a beautiful beach.
