1. After reviewing the ratings for this hotel and a great deal I decided to book.

2. First thing I noticed was that the great deal isn't much of a great deal when they ding you an extra $10 resort fee and $9 parking fee per day.

3. Because of the Expedia deal, we got a free upgrade to the largest ocean front suite.

4. All of the units that Kaanapali shores rents directly are upgraded with granite, etc. but you can find deals a little cheaper if you are willing to forgo the upgrades and book through VRBO.

5. Also, there is a Post Office nearby in Lahaina, its a good deal to grab a few of the Priority Mail boxes and ship souvenirs, coffee, etc home rather than loading up your luggage.
