2. With the Northwest mom's, it was a pitch perfect slice of Santa Barbara living; big room, plush robes, complementary cruiser bikes for an evening ride along the beach to the best seafood happy hour recommended by the front desk.

3. While architecturally pleasing with arched hallway ceilings and rambling staircases, the rooms and hallways haven't been updated in decades.

7. Great character and interesting history, nice period furnishings, comfortable bed, very quiet ceiling fan that helped to circulate air in the room, and very good complimentary breakfast.
