1. The lobby is impressive and engaging with free wifi and Apple computers available to check your email, etc.

2. Cons: Not enough lighting in the interior rooms, the parking charges are outrageous considering that there is free parking across the street at the Galleria, the elevators are slow and there are only two (one was broken part of the time), the gym is tiny and inadequate, but there is a 24hr fitness close by.

4. There's a bar, though not one with much traffic, and a hot breakfast buffet line; I have no idea, however, if it's free, as it is as Starwood's Sheraton properties, since I didn't have time for breakfast during my two-night stay.

5. Even though I stayed there on a Priceline rate, the check-in clerk very nicely accommodated my request for a high-floor king-bed room away from the elevator, and consequently I ended up on one of two of the hotel's Starwood Preferred Guest floors -- which unfortunately appear, here at least, to offer no additional perks such as free newspapers or breakfast or a private lounge area.
