1. If you're significant other is into the finer things in life there is the Galleria directly across the street from the hotel and about 8 mins down the highway is North Park Center with both malls home to many big name designer stores.

Only negatives I can think about would be the views out the windows looking right at other buildings or the highway, but wasnt expecting anyway (and no issues with outdoor sound coming in), and had dinner in hotel restaurant and was not really impressed with the food for the money paid, but also not a big problem due to other food within walking distance of hotel.
