2. There may be some cheaper hotels in this area, and there are certainly more expensive ones, but the remodeled Marriott Courtyard at Fisherman's Wharf would seem to be the best deal, at least for now.

3. Stayed here for Sharkfest 2011 Alcatraz Island open water swim and was very impressed with the recent remodel and fair price for an excellent location.

4. The hotel is completing some major remodeling and redecorating, but the rooms have all been re-done with very nice 'trendy' furnishings, including flat screen TV, upgraded bedding, etc.
