2. It is stunningly positioned across from the White House (Obama stayed here for two weeks prior to his inauguration) and the service is the best I have encountered in the USA.

7. positives: EXCELLENT Italian toiletries, staff willing to try to make things right, great location across the street from the White HouseNegatives: Far too many people who are not hotel guests filling the lobby, extremely high prices, inconsistent service (from example, the valet) I laughed when I found out Obama stayed at this hotel prior to moving in to the White House.

9. Another positive is that housekeeping is very attentive--the bed was beautifully turned down in the evening and after we showered in the afternoon the towels were all always replaced when we came back after dinner.

10. In the end the bed is what matters most to me in a hotel, as I`m mostly there to sleep, so this was a positive.
