1. We walked everywhere except to dinner on a couple of nights.

2. The bar on the lower level was always so crowded we never used it, but the restaurant is among the best in Washington: exceptional food, service, and atmosphere (for some reason it is closed for dinner on Staurdays).

5. the staff were friendly and inviting, we recieved informative advise on what to see and do, except when one of the attractions was not open during winter and I had taken a long taxi ride to visit a home outside the city to find it closed.
