2. It was at a rate, comparable to a best Western, but included a very nice exercise room (yes, we did), a huge pool (closed in November), two restaurants, and access to a lot of stuff downtown (hence the sirens).

4. When I informed the front desk, they simply said the best they could do was stick me on the 3rd floor; not even offering to send housekeeping up to clean or fix the tv.

8. We got smart and went to the front lawn of the hotel rather than sitting on the riverfront, and I think we had the best location to see them and not be crowded by other people.

10. I don't think it's the best place for families - no entertainment for kids, or for the occasional tourist, but great for experienced travelers who know what they want and what is available.
