2. The best aspect of this hotel is the location - you can't get a better location in the heart of Santa Barbara - near all the restaurants for the evening and close enough to the beach to walk to during the day.
"Great hotel in a great location! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/14/2012 Vote
3. The downtown location could not be better positioned for shopping, the harbor, wine tasting and even the next door (almost) location of the Amtrak station should you arrive by train.
"A Great Place to Stay! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/31/2012 Vote
4. Even better, the price is reasonable, just like all Holiday Inn Express Hotels.

6. However, for Santa Barbara downtown area, you can get a better hotel but be prepared to pay $300+.

8. he breakfast area is small and is also the lobby area so be prepared to wait to get meals, or better take food up to patio on 2nd floor which has a nice view of mountains.

9. We knew we weren't going to take part in the all inclusive breakfast before we arrived and this played out as planned, but I am sure for some, this is a draw and makes it a better value.
"Great location, some inconveniences and simply average for a "historic" hotel in Santa Barbara. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/27/2011 Vote
10. I preferred Mason Beach, which is less money and in a better spot, but only # 23 on Trip Advisor.
