1. positives: large spacious rooms with comfortable beds, outdoor seating areas and fireplaces, large bathrooms, great Molton Brown products, helpful front desk staff, and I really like the hotel's little courtyard.

5. positives:- Location- Friendly staff- Spacious room- Comfortable bed and sheets- Flat screen TV (although a tad small for the distance from the bed)- Look/architecture of property- Includes smaller breakfast- Nice tub and showerIf I came back to Santa Barbara, I would probably try another hotel in the same class before I came back - for whatever reason, it just didn't all click for a 'nicer' hotel - I would, however, still keep it in mind.

My wife and I got a Junior Suite and here's a list of the negatives and positives (keep in mind that most of these negatives weren't horrible, but from from the standpoint of expectations when paying about $350/night):Negatives:- The floors of the suite were stained concrete made to look like tiles.

7. Having stayed at several hotels in California on a busy first-time-in-the-US-as-a-family road trip, we arrived at the Inn of the Spanish Garden expecting smart bedrooms , but had no other expectations except the very positive reviews on Trip Advisor.

8. Other positives of the hotel are the free breakfast (usually an egg dish, fresh strawberries, granola/yogurt, pastries, bread), freshly baked cookies each day and free popcorn each night to go with the free dvd`s you can watch in your room.
