1. I understand that this is used for a bunch of regional conventions - but boy, we are not a Shriner's or Comic-Con bunch, and we are used to a good hotel, good service, good value for your money, and this place failed to meet all expectations, and was a complete wipeout as an enjoyable decent place to stay.

2. I got the impression that the grounds-keepers, the bell-staff, the house-keeping staff are pretty good.

3. But their food was good, their service excellent, and they were actually happy to see us and our money.

4. Some servers heroically managed good service at least one time each, so I can point to a lunch at Trellis' (Angelica), a lunch at Terrace Cafe (Andrea), a drink at Trellis' (F&B manager, who, due to circumstances we were in at the time, we weren't able to take aside and speak to about our many issues with his staff), a front desk clerk (Jeremy), and the night manager (who was on, literally, her last night on the job when we spoke to her and shared all of our dismay) who all managed to give us some good customer service.

5. If you got good service from someone at one meal, said good service wasn't repeated the next time you saw this staff member.

10. Attended a conference at the convention center (big enough for two good-sized conventions at the same time) in September 2011.
