1. Favorite things about this hotel: Location, free bicycle rentals, well-maintained heated outdoor pool/hottub with plenty of towels, and great employees.

4. I would highly recommend staying at Holiday Inn San Diego-Bayside if you are visiting San Diego for business or pleasure because the ammenities are plentiful and the locations is within minutes of anywhere you wish to visit.

We originally reserved La Quinta in Mission Valley; but after several actual phone calls I decided on Holiday Inn and we were very happy for the following reasons: front desk was unfailingly courteous and professional; the free shuttle drivers were friendly and very punctual; we always felt safe and valued (I talked to both night security--one was a Iraqi vet who sustained injuries from an IED); the wonderful food at the Point Loma cafe was always fresh and plentiful (excellent service also); the rooms were spotless and the beds were like heaven; and when I had a little glitch the management went all out to resolve the issue.

10. We had plenty of fresh and tasty food everyday and fed a family of 4 for less than $18 plus tip.
