8. We originally reserved La Quinta in Mission Valley; but after several actual phone calls I decided on Holiday Inn and we were very happy for the following reasons: front desk was unfailingly courteous and professional; the free shuttle drivers were friendly and very punctual; we always felt safe and valued (I talked to both night security--one was a Iraqi vet who sustained injuries from an IED); the wonderful food at the Point Loma cafe was always fresh and plentiful (excellent service also); the rooms were spotless and the beds were like heaven; and when I had a little glitch the management went all out to resolve the issue.
