2. We choose this hotel because it was conveniently located near the airport, offered a free airport shuttle, and was a five minute walk from the cruise ship pier, which we were arriving in San Diego a day early for.

5. yes u can hear it during the day but after around 9pm it seemed the anticipated quiet zone status did kick in until around the 6:15am amtrack did wake me up but I didnt care as that is when the free breakfast started, so on a positive spin I didnt have to set an alarm for breakfast.

7. First and foremost this is one of the only hotels in the area that not only has a great price and location but a wonderful free breakfast.

8. Overall, it provides your basic Hampton Inn perks, comfortable room, free breakfast, its a short walk to downtown.

There is a shuttle that will take you places other than the airport or the scheduled zoo trip, those take priority but if they are free they will take you within a certain radius, we used it to go to a popular taco place about 2 miles away and picked back up again, all within a reasonable time, just make sure they have no airport trips scheduled or you will have to wait or take the trolley which is also right there.
