4. It has a trendy bar and restaurant which is frequented by the locals (except when it's closed on a Sunday) and the look and feel of the place is very modern with tasteful decor and funky furniture.

5. It's an great example of mid-century googie architecture, but the owners have done an amazing job of renovating the place with one eye on maintaining it's vintage charm and the other eye on tasteful, hip modern design.

6. We walked in the door and there was a huge king size pillow top mattress above a platform bed complete with high thread count sheets, the flat screen tv fixed to the wall and tasteful furniture choices in the chairs and side tables located in the room all left a smile on our faces.
