3. Did I mention the staff? Tamara, John, Emily, Sarah, Brian and the one and only Kim all made sure our stay was top notch and helped us get to know SD from a local perspective.

My wife and I have done a few staycations at the Pearl and we feel like we have gone back to a simpler time where all of the super hip, mid century furnishings are from our parents era and the bar serves up unique libations that tickle the palate and help to forget about the kids at grandma's house.

10. Everything was fantastic, from the absurdly helpful staff, the fantastic guys and girls in the shockingly good restaurant bar (big up to Paul and mixologist John), and the fun rooms.
