1. The hotel is small and parking is limited, but they were extremely generous and hospitable.

5. There was a dead plant on the desk, the carpet was rough, there was a hair on the pillow, and the room in general was not completely clean, but it was still acceptable to stay in for a night.

6. We had just finished a very long drive and in general, her attitude was really cold and unpleasant, especially in comparison to the other friendly people we encountered working at the hotel and restaurant.

9. Our dinner order was mixed up with wrong food and while they ended up comping the meal generously, it certainly wasn't how we expected to spend a good chunk of our evening in San Diego.
