1. We paid for the upgraded room with a king and were told that the kings were not the best, so basically we upgraded to the king and paid for it.

Pros - modern room, great shower head, nice towels, fridge, microwave, new feeling rather than old and drab, free wifi, nice staff, allow dogs, easy to walk places (we walked everywhere), convenient locationCons - thin windows, walls and doors, slow small elevators, not the best lighting to put makeup on in the morning (a little dark)I would stay here again.

5. The Sofia is also close to many restaurants, and dining locations, the best being Currant located right in the hotel.

9. It was an adequately sized room, and when asked to give us the best room in the house, were pleasantly rewarded with a nice, bright corner room looking out to the financial district.
