3. I've stayed at a lot of Courtyards and usually they provide a comfortable room and a few perks and some great service - when I stumbled upon this Courtyard it caught my eye with the awesome history and architectural details.

4. The bellman, Nick, was awesome, helped us out a lot and even had coupons for a free appetizer at a good Italian restaurant nearby.

7. The views (facing the water) are truly awesome with a bridge in the background and numerous warships within view (San Diego is a base for some US Navy operations).
