1. Marble foyers and halls? Solid wood carved walls with expensive framed artwork? You do not see this anywhere except 100 year old hotels.

2. The spa facilities were also exceptional with luxurious locker room areas, great steam room, and nice showers (all separate for men and women of course).

3. Paying to use the gym is ridiculous - I can't recall ever having to pay to use a gym except in Vegas.

4. While not exactly a 'resort' location (not on a golf course), the Spa was first class, the accommodations exceeded my expectations and the staff was, with few exceptions, the friendliest and most helpful I've experienced.
