1. The staff was friendly, attentive and easy to work with.

The let down comes down to the attention to details : from the quality of the staff training (I live in Asia so the difference is obviously staggering when it comes to take an order for room service or help you out with anything) through to the quality of the food (average +, even at the pricey steak house) or the quality of the amenities (gym and pool side need a facelift), it left me a bit underwhelmed.

8. While the hotel might have been close to full, and perhaps that's common, I've stayed at larger hotels which are full and they are more responsive and attentive.
