1. Each evening the lounge was transformed with a plethora of food and drinks (we did not partake as we had huge dinner reservations each evening) but the food did look nice.

8. New orleans is still an extraordinary experience with massive numbers of hugely loud crowds on Bourbon Street and beyond and incredible music blaring from every hole in the wall.

9. The rooftop swimming pool was pretty standard and not huge, but clean; the area gets a lot of shade from tall buildings, which I appreciate -- but if you are looking to get a lot of sun, you may not.
