1. This hotel is reasonably priced and decorated in old French antiques that really set the mood for my first visit to New Orleans.

6. The price is very reasonable compared to other choices in New Orleans, and the hotel is within walking distance to the French Quarter, but far enough away from the nightly noise and mayhem found there to get a good night's sleep.

8. our reasoning was that the rest of the rooms were probably in similar repair- weird wiring that had rolled out in stages, super dated and peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, marble flooring that was raised like an inch to step up into the bathroom from the bedroom.
