3. Do yourself a favor, if you care more about the room than thr lobby, avoid this grand old hotel til they are willing to spend some money on a renovation.

8. From the responsiveness of the reservations staff prior to check in, to the friendliness/helpfulness of the doormen and bellmen, to the front-desk staff who checked us in early and took care of us :), to the kindness and efficiency of the room service and turndown staff, we were impressed.
