2. I didn't mind the sound of the waterfall but if you are looking for something more quiet then I would recommend asking for a room that faces the outside rather than the inside.

7. Rooms themselves were very quiet with the doors closed considering the amount of people outside so we had no problems sleeping.

8. We opted for no balcony but found we still had french doors opening onto the gardens and since we were at a quiet end of the hotel we had almost no traffic walking past so kept them open whenever we were in our room.
