1. This thoughtful touch has an additional benefit which I have written about elsewhere: with waitstaff clearly on duty, it is less likely that there will be the sort of difficulties guests sometimes endure at other hotels, namely guests appearing for breakfast barefoot and still in pajamas, looking as though they had just crawled out of bed.

2. Just know, that when you drive up to the hotel off Plankinton, you think that this is a convention area, as it does not look like the entrance into a Marriott.

5. This hotel is in the old Gimble's Department store, and the developers did a good job of retaining a few of the old architectural details, which keeps it from feeling like a run-of-the-mill suburban hotel.

7. The inclusion of a wall made the room smaller, but allowed a regular sized room to feel more like a suite.
