1. Some extras included are a free hot breakfast, complimentary newspaper, and a complimentary happy hour with food and beer/wine.

3. My husband and I were very happy with the decision to stay there, as the room was a studio apartment, high ceilings (this building used to be the old Gimbals), with a huge curtained window that filtered a soft light into the space.

6. The ladies would appreciate some more powerful salon style hairdryers (some hotels have them available, just don't put them in the rooms - I'd happy sign one out for the week.

8. The free breakfast was nice with a hot entree and fresh fruit and all the usual hotel brakfast foodthe evenings we were there the happy hour was more than the usual, free wine or beer plus hot appetizers.

10. I am 'all about' historical preservation, too, so when I learned that this magnificent building had originally been the Gimbels store in the 1880s, I was very happy.
