1. It so happens I found a terrific barbecue restaurant called Shortys, just a little south of the hotel a little past the McDonald's and Wendy's (please note these 2 fast food places are very close to the hotel).

2. There are a couple of gas stations with convenience stores attached and typical fast food within walking distance, but it is on a very BUSY road, you have to cross four lanes to get to the other side.
