4. All of the staff were very nice, the room was great, breakfast(full, not continental) & afternoon happy hour Mon-Wed was also very nice.

7. Coming back home the next weekend, we decided to try another downtown hotel(Holiday Day Inn Select) and upon seeing and smelling our room we went to the front desk and cancelled that room and headed 2 blocks up to the Residence Inn and they were happy to assist us and at a cheaper rate.

Pros: - Great downtown location and the staff had fabulous restaurant suggestions- A good value when you consider the free hot breakfast and evening "happy hour" drink and food offerings- The hotel's historic architecture and the friendliness of the staff complete the pictureCons:- A fold-out luggage rack would be a great help in all of the rooms -- we ended up using the ironing board to lay out the suitcases- My guess is that the rooms all have their own hot water heaters -- none of the rooms where we stayed seemed to have enormous reserves of hot water although the recharge time was fairly quick.

10. We were quite happy with our stay there but unfortunately there was a thunderstorm on the night we stayed there so the ceiling started leaking in two places.
