3. Coming back home the next weekend, we decided to try another downtown hotel(Holiday Day Inn Select) and upon seeing and smelling our room we went to the front desk and cancelled that room and headed 2 blocks up to the Residence Inn and they were happy to assist us and at a cheaper rate.

6. The Residence Inn is a nice hotel in Memphis, but value wise, the Small Luxury Hotel a hundred yards away, the Madison is a zillion times classier and had an August rate of $130 which was cheaper than the Residence Inn.
