2. a CCTV/other deterrent might have been a better investment than huge LCDs?All in all, I would definitely agree with yet another reviewer to look for somewhere else if you are looking for some actual hotel services.

But as a recent negative reviewer pointed out, it is questionable if all that money has been spent on the right things: very good mattresses (a positive), huge LCD TV (some trouble in getting it work, too) in a very small room - was it really needed?; good and noise-reducing carpeting in the corridors and stairs and nice roof terrace and courtyard.

This is not a huge 'marble floors and piano in the atrium' hotel, this is unashamed 'value' accomodation - the rooms are small (but perfectly adequate), parking is limited (but at least it has some, and Venice beach is not the easiest place to park), but it delivers on its promise, and it delivers with a smile.
