1. I highly recommend walking up the the convenience store, grabbing a 6 pack of Sierra Nervada and some beer nuts and sitting in the courtyard to watch the sunset (and the people go past.

6. Frank Gehry's famous beach house is nearby, as is Washington Boulevard where at its ending by the beach there are a cluster of small convenient restaurants.

The really positive things about Venice on the Beach: great location right on the beach, warm and friendly staff, laid back and independent feel, good wireless, comfortable bed and pillows, soft, fresh white linens, rooms conveniently appointed, two great outdoor public areas to hang out which look directly out onto the beautiful beach where many people are jogging, walking their dogs, and enjoying the beach.
