1. All I know is my week-long stay in Eugene was one of the 2 or 3 best vacations I've had in my life, and I'm 56.

5. If you absolutely must stay downtown, and you are tied to the Hilton family of hotels like I am, and if you are willing to risk having your sleep impacted by the noise described above, then my best advice is to try and get a room on the side of the hotel facing away from the train tracks.
