3. They put a 'courtesy' hold on the room before we could commit to the second night--it really gave us peace of mind, and then they ended up giving us a better deal for the second night than we got online for the first.

6. I guess that is tolerable for the price of the room, however, I did check a newer motel down the street on my last day in Eugene 'just to see what I missed out on' and found that it was in better condition for the same general price.

7. I think they would do better to spend more on renovations and raise the rates $5 or $10 per night to offset the cost.
