2. Tried to leave as soon as we saw room (BTW, some floors are smoking like the first one they tried to put us in so ask) but manager Mark refused to override cancellation policy (we did cancel our second night) and after asking for a blanket for our bed (you'd think it would be included), we spent the night and checked out the next morning.

3. If you've traveled in Europe and liked it, want to be downtown, and appreciate personalized service, stay at Hotel Lawrence.

4. I like to travel to Dallas via Amtrak, and the hotel is straight across from Union Station, just one perk of its great location.

7. Let's start by saying that I like 'European style' hotels, and I chose to ignore the bad reviews for this hotel because some of them smacked of people who wouldn't like an older hotel no matter what.

10. My room was small, and the colors and furniture style reminded me of the apartment I grew up in back in the '60s (avocado/Danish 'modern'), but the bed was comfortable, and (like another reviewer) I could see the site of the Kennedy shooting out my window.
