1. Our experience at the hotel was pretty good except for the fact that our bed was never made up, not once in three nights.
"Nice central hotel in Cleveland " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/23/2012 Vote
2. After the concert, we were on the search for food, but no restaurants were open (except for Guys Pizza which were overrun with concertgoers).

3. This hotel was centrally located to almost every activity we did (except the zoo--for that we took public transportation which was a bit of a wait but fine).

6. CONS: Room decor was really 'blah' -- the colors, the old, square furniture (as opposed to 'old world charm' or anything even remotely luxe); lighting in room was not optimal; there was an empty corner where it looked like there should have been a chair; the closet door was so industrial looking that it could have been a fire escape -- I thought, 'really?'; also, the closet door took up too much space when opened and actually blocked the room door; no in-room coffee; the extra blanket looked worn and was out of shape -- should have been retired and replaced; no phone book; there was a power outtage that lasted several hours in the early AM (3am - 7:45am) / no water while power out / peeked out in the hallway and the emergency lighting at the stairs was out / power came on for 10 minutes and went off again, the emergency lighting was now on at the stairs (so seems like the emergency back up doesn't last very long); I could be wrong, but I couldn't find wired Internet access in the room; I liked the 1890 bar but felt like there could be some modernization there -- for example, there were 4 TVs above the bar and from where I sat only one was a new flat panel -- the others were older, big models; the whole 'Arcade' ambiance was pretty but nothing truly impressive -- the shops there were nothing I would patronize (except maybe the manicurist); my room in the tower section overlooked the Arcade and that roof needs some work; cost of taxi from CLE airport on hotel's website says $25 -- it was $33 excluding tip; the worst part of the hotel, I thought, is the whole lobby arrangement -- it is tucked into a corner and then if you have a tower room you have to walk all they way down to the other end of the hotel -- which would have been easier had there been ANY signage along the way.

7. Nothing bad to say about the place except that parking is valet only and can take a while to get your car.
"Cool old hotel " Read full review on Expedia   9/16/2009 Vote
8. Everything was great except for the oversight of not having the room ready for a customer.

9. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon at about 4 pm and all the shops were closed, except the restaurant associated with the hotel, which was expensive ($20-25 per entree at dinner).
"Pleasant surroundings. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/23/2009 Vote
10. Awesome facility except for the cramp room, awesome people, great location and had a very successful weekend, thanks, they delighted me so, I decided to give them a dozen Krispy Kreme Doughnuts as way to how sweet it is.
