4. Bartenders are great, it's a social scene, and food is much better than most hotel places - encourage getting the daily special which on Monday's is a tasty Venison tenderloin dish.

5. Either way, the hotel is still nice, and if you're a Ritz-Carlton Club member, I'm sure it's tops in Boston, but otherwise I'd look for a hotel with bigger rooms that offer a better deal on parking (which is super difficult to find in Boston).

6. The better views are from the rooms with the higher numbers, I think the last room with the best views are '80' ( as in room 1080 or 1180) so try to get a room at least in the 70's so you will have a better view of the Commons if you stay in a suite.

8. While other hotels might have had better artwork, more elaborate displays or ammenities, none of them had everything that the Ritz did.

9. better options in Boston are the Langham and the Marriott Copley Place, in my opinion.
