2. This hotel is not the upmarket resort hotel you may dream of in San Francisco, but it has location, it has views, and it has the basics you need for a comfortable and very enjoyable stay at a very reasonable price.

8. We have stayed here previously, and knew that this was a decent hotel to use, within walking distance of the usual attractions such as Pier 39, Fishermans Wharf and ferries to Alcatraz, and very reasonably priced for San Francisco.
