3. On our 2nd night we walked in the other direction and found a fantastic bar-restaurant on Union Street which was only about 10 - 15 minutes walk from the hotel.

6. We also did the double decker bus tour in the evening for $15 a person ,well worth it as we were able to get some fantastic pictures - a great way to see the city.

7. The first 2 nights we had a room facing another tall building, but the next 2 nights we upgraded to a Bay view room with a fantastic vista including the Golden Gate bridge and Alcatraz island.

10. The latter room was only slightly more expensive but almost twice the size and had the fantastic Bay view so I would certainly ask for this if visiting again.
