1. The other minor issue is the ice machine, well, it is really just a small freezer on the 4th floor with an ice maker in it with a big container to catch the ice.

6. If you want to be on Union Square, but you don't need the frills of a big hotel (pool,big lobby, restaurant), then this is a great choice.

8. Friendly staff, big home-like rooms, all the details tended to (robes, sewing kits, highest quality fruit and tea available all day, excellent breakfasts and wines included--stuff that has disappeared even from high end hotels) at amazingly reasonable prices in an excellent location.
