2. Until very recently I lived an a major city, and I visit Manhattan twice a year, so this is not an issue of not understanding the level of noise that automatically goes with sleeping in new York.

3. Here's the good:- Large rooms, especially for new York but really if you travel a good deal this is a generous room by any standards.

5. Obviously this is not for the Four Seasons crowd, but if you are expecting something on par with even a new-ish Sheraton or Hyatt you'll be very disappointed.

6. new Yorkers are so friendly & helpfull go out of there way to help you ,all except the taxi drivers who are the most unpleasent & unhelpfull we have ever encountered no help at all.

7. There is scaffolding but it does'nt interfere with the entrance,as for the noise you are in new York it's not a quiet city,if you want quiet go elswere.

8. My two teenage children and I visited new York in June 2011; I did a lot of research and followed Trip advisor recommendation for this choice.

9. There was plenty of space for all of us and lots of room for the girls to 'primp' in their new clothes before we out to the shows.

10. When I return to new York I would not likely stay in Midtown again, instead going to Greenwich Village or SoHo, but that is purely a personal choice.
