1. Stayed here three times in last couple of years and while I really like the nearby Affinia Shelbourne, this seems a little cheaper and views from the right rooms just as spectacular.

2. This is an ok hotel in a pretty good spot but nothing special, if you must stay here choose a cheaper room but better still keep looking.
"Spacious rooms, shame about the rest " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/14/2012 Vote
3. Our friends who had previously stayed at the same time the year before also booked cheaper rooms and again, bigger cleaner and better.

4. The 2 cheaper rooms booked for the teenage kids were bigger, cleaner and had lounges, the more expensive and higher room for parents was smaller, grubby, no sitting area and in need of major renovation.

5. We had read many bad reviews about cheaper hotels in New York and talk of bed bugs so we paid a little more than we were comfortable to make sure we had a good stay in New York.
"Should be higher in the rankings " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/19/2011 Vote
6. Positives: reasonable room rates and good sized rooms, small kitchen are is great for any exrended stay, location is walkable to Broadway, Time Square etc and close to the subway, the noise level is good, decent exercise facility, and the attached restaurant is pretty good and much cheaper than most of the other NY hotels I have stayed in.
"Good Value for NY " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/13/2011 Vote
7. If you plan to see the museums, its worthwhile investing in a City Pass which gives you entry to 6 attractions inc 4 museums for $79 - much cheaper than paying separately.
"Ideal base for exploring the city " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/5/2011 Vote
8. You may find more luxurious hotels, cheaper hotels and many different styles of hotels in the Big Apple, but for us the AF is the only one we will ever use.

9. Although we came in Feb when prices are slightly cheaper, I still feel that we got a bargain.
"I would definitely come here again! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/26/2010 Vote
10. So a few Tips if I may, if you need a restaurant try talking to the Bell Boy (less expensive places for dinner) and they can get you Airport Transfers cheaper than the Concierge - these services seem to be outsourced by the hotel - but as I did say David's service was excellent.
"Best NYC Hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/5/2010 Vote
