1. Water was a little cold for us, but the coastline in Kauai is gorgeous and affords you the most spectacular sunsets.

2. Regis is definitely opulent and the view is spectacular, but it was exactly the type of place we wanted to avoid - a huge resort (ex: two different elevators and a bit of a hike from the lobby to the pool).

4. The service is excellent (especially the valet staff, which matters because there is no self-parking), as is the location - walking distance to the Poipu Shopping Center in one direction and a spectacular beach hike in the other.
